Hello! As a beauty newbie, I'm starting to build my makeup kit. You see finding a perfect face powder is very important because it creates a clean canvas. For a sensitive, oily and acneic skin, it could get a little tricky.Thus I have established criteria for choosing a face powder that fits my skin type. Oil Control Coverage Does not cause breakouts Long-lasting  First up, I tried the Mineral Pressed Powder from Human Heart Nature (HHN). I have read that mineral makeup is sensitive skin - friendly. Mineral makeup does not feel heavy on the skin. I miss doing art projects. It is my way of bonding with my Mom. When I was younger, she used to tag me along to art workshops in their office. I would be happy and proud to show my artwork to my parents whenever I get the best art project. When my aunt told me that whenever an opportunity comes that I could win art materials, I should join so that I could give it to my nephew, Kiel, as he would start schooling soon. Luckily, Sharpie and Belle de Jour Power Planner held a contest called Sharpie Diem. It required the use of colored pens and creativity to decorate the Dream Board page in the planner. If you are craving for affordable yet yummy steaks, Rap Steaks and Cakes is the place to go.  Rap Steaks and Cakes is located at Mother Ignacia St. near ELJ Building. The place is near my work place that is why I was able to grab a quick dinner here.  The serving was huge. I ordered a regular Porterhouse steak medium well for P185. The waitress recommended medium well because well-done tend to be tough eventually.  Medium Porterhouse steak There was an unlimited gravy offered but I liked the steak sauce better. The meat as well as the beans was well seasoned that you could eat it without the gravy.  I also tried their Chicken Lollipops, priced at P175. Belle de Jour's Rendezvous entitled Change the Game last April 12, 2014 was held at The Ramp Crossings, EDSA Shangri-la. I was eager to attend this talk to reunite and meet like-minded Bellas like me and to learn more about changing perspective on different things. Before the talks started I got the chance to have my souvenir picture taken at the Canon photo booth.  The Bellas are greeted by DJ Tracy Abad, the host for this event. I was immediately hooked because tips on about makeup would be useful to it since I am a newbie. The section that I really liked in this blog is the  Basic Makeup With The Beauty Junkee . I tend to read a lot of makeup tutorials but this one is very comprehensive. It even includes the products that can be used and even cheaper alternatives. One of my bucket list is to watch a live concert tour of an international artist. My dream came true when I witnessed Bruno Mars' Moonshine Jungle Tour last March 22, 2014 in SM Mall of Asia Arena. The good thing is I watched it for free. How did it happen? I joined the #illbethere contest from BDJ Box, as a celebration of Women's Month. Uploading pictures and blogging about beauty stuff was not my thing, but I did it for my desire of watching Bruno Mars live. I was giddy and excited when it was announced that I was one of the winners. Winning the Bruno Mars concert ticket had not dawned unto me until I was actually holding the ticket.  Yey! Finally. Most of our office wear came from this brand thus when they posted a sale on their Instagram page, I asked my sister to accompany me to Fisher Mall. Fisher Mall is located on Pantranco, Quezon Avenue beside the Mercury Drug Store.  It's true that all items are below P500. Choices are a bit few but luckily, I did not go home empty handed.  I found a purple dress for P500. Finally, I already have a dress for my sister's signing. If you have time, visit Plains & Prints stall at Fisher Mall. The sale still runs until April 17, 2014. Who knows, you may also score a fab find like mine.
