Last March 23, 2014, I attended my third BDJ Box Beauty Social: Tres Chic in Samsung Hall SM Aura. I scored invites by answering the question, "What is you go to makeup look" and indicating my preferred talks. Thankfully, I got accepted in my top 2 talks which are the following: Up Close and Flawless with Max Factor with makeup artist Bobby Carlos Primed and Ready with Benefit Cosmetics with Miakka Lim I was given a BDJ BOX social passport pass once I confirmed my attendance to the talks. Those who were not able to enlist on the talks were still free to walk-in on the event, but would have less access to freebies such as a loot bag and souvenir pictures.  Aside from the talks, there are fun games and activities from the partner brands of BDJ Box. I got inspiration of continuing my blog from fellow Bella that I met when I won a BDJ Box contest. This would be my first non-contest entry. Bear with me. Hehe!  Anyway, last week, we managed to score a unit of Asus Transformer Book T100, a hybrid laptop-tablet. We have been eyeing this model from Asus since I saw it on Unbox.ph. I'm glad that Smart offered it as one of its Gadget Plus Plans. Nice job Smart for listening to its customers! The plan that we availed was the Plan 999 with one time cash-out of P6,000. This plan includes 50 hours internet time monthly and a pocket WiFi.                        The plan is pretty reasonable since the SRP of the Asus Transformer is more or less P24,000. I'm not a kikay type of girl. I just follow the basic routine every morning: cleanse, tone and moisturize. I use the Acne Solutions Line from Celeteque since I have acne- prone skin. I discovered Celeteque during a BDJ Box Beauty Social and luckily, it is not only just effective for me, but also to my sisters too. Here's how I use them. Step 1: Use a pea-sized amount of Acne Cleansing Gel. Step 2: After rinsing and drying my face, I apply the Oil Control Toner. Step 3: Apply Acne Clearing Facial Moisturizer Gel. I likecthe consistency of the moisturizer because it does not feel oily. After the moisturizer dries on my skin, I put on SkinWhite Whitening Face Cream Powder to keep my skin matte. It also has SPF thus it helps me protect from the harsh rays of the sun. Lastly, I swipe on a lipstick. I use Flormar Long Wearing Lipstick. With this routine, I'm always prepared when I have picture taking moments with celebrities.

Beauty Tips come in handy for beauty newbies like me. My sister is like my bestfriend, giving me advice especially when it comes to beauty. One of the best beauty advice that I got from her is that when stray hairs from eyebrows is beginning to grow, you can pluck them with tweezers. It saves you money from eyebrow threading from salon. It is how my sister keeps her brows groomed. I also learned from her that you could use aspirin to lessen the swelling of the pimples. I'm thankful to have a sister and friend like her.

Every weekend, I pamper myself using facial scrubs. Exfoliation helps get rid of dirt and grime. It also slough off dead skin cells that clog pores. I use St. Ives Green Tea Scrub as my facial scrub. It has fine beads that does not feel rough on my skin. How do I use it? I massage a coin sized amount on my face then rinse after a few seconds. After using St. Ives Facial Scrub, my face feels soft and smoother. I feel relaxed and rejuvenated.

I'm a sucker for beauty demos from Youtube. It is very useful for makeup newbies like me. When I heard that BDJ has come up with a group of makeup artist and stylist to teach us girls to share their makeup secrets, I feel like it is a wish come true. Everyday, I would browse on the BDJ Box website to pick up new beauty tips that I can apply and share to other people. My favorite Editorial from the BDJ Box is the 5-minute makeup by Barbi Chan. It is a common excuse that women are too busy that they could not apply makeup. This video gives us no excuse to look made up. To view, click link here. What I like about the video is that the tools needed to be made up are just a few, easy to use and accessible. Next time, I would try to do this by myself so that I could stay pretty.

Being a loyal follower of Belle de Jour, I immediately signed up for a 3 month subscription for the BDJ Box. The BDJ Box is jampacked with goodies, such as full sized samples of beauty products. I'm glad that a product approved by my derma would be included in my BDJ Box. I occasionally suffer from dry, itchy skin due to sweat, stress and extreme weather. I use the product after I have taken a shower. I like that it really moisturizes and eases the itchiness of my skin. I have actually finished the whole sample that is why I purchased the full sized product. I'm so thankful that it can be bought in leading drugstores.
